Completely CNC Machined from alloy steel and nickel plated
for long life. Works on the Horstman MDC-400, DXL, Greased Lightning, Steel Nytro and HDC,
Buller Built Bully clutch and the Jammer clutch. Acts as a mini height gauge. Most clutch
manufacturers recommend checking the spring heights by using a dial caliper and checking
under the retaining washer to lever support plate, since the springs themselves are not
square or in any relation to each other, it is nearly impossible to get an accurate
reading. Our gauge reads from the top of the retaining washer utilizing a special anvil
that picks up the highest point across the retaining washer. The indicators special anvil
is also designed to clear the flat head screw that is commonly used to adjust the clutch
springs.
